Vehicle Wraps
in Colorado Springs
& Fleet Graphics

APG designs, prints, and installs vehicle wraps in Colorado Springs and across El Paso County, including full and partial wraps, truck and van wraps, box truck and trailer wraps, commercial fleet graphics, vehicle lettering and decals. Everything is printed on cast vinyl with a laminate over the top and installed indoors in a heated bay, so Colorado weather never sets the schedule.

Vehicle wraps in Colorado Springs: an APG installer squeegeeing printed cast vinyl onto a commercial vehicle

The wrap types Colorado Springs
businesses actually buy

A wrap turns a vehicle already in operation into a mobile advertising asset. The right level of coverage depends on the vehicle, the miles it runs, and what you need someone to read at 40 mph on Powers or Academy. Most of the work we do is commercial: contractor trucks, service vans, box trucks, trailers, and small fleets that need every unit to match.

Full vehicle wraps

Full wraps for cars, vans and trucks

A full wrap covers the painted surfaces of the vehicle, so the color change and the artwork read the same from every angle. It is the version people remember, and it is the one to choose when the vehicle is the main thing carrying your brand around town. We print the graphics on cast vinyl, laminate them, and install panel by panel around handles, seams and body contours.

Typical range for a full car or van wrap is $3,500 to $6,500, with compact vans at the low end and high-roof extended Sprinters at the top. More detail in our guide to van wrap costs in Colorado Springs.

Partial wraps

Partial wraps: most of the impact, less of the cost

A partial wrap puts printed vinyl on the panels that do the selling, usually the rear quarters, the doors, the tailgate and the hood, and leaves the rest of the factory paint showing. On a white or black work truck that reads as a designed vehicle rather than a compromise, because the paint becomes part of the layout.

Typical range is $1,500 to $3,500. If the vehicle already wears a color close to your brand, a partial wrap often gets you 80 percent of the visibility for around half the investment.

Truck, van & box truck wraps

Big flat panels are the best advertising you own

Pickups, cargo vans, flatbeds and box trucks all get wrapped differently, and box trucks are the value case on any lot. The sides are large, flat and close to eye level for the car next to you at a light, which means artwork survives being read at speed. A box truck or trailer wrap typically runs $6,000 to $12,000 depending on size and coverage.

More on large panels, usable graphic area and roll-up doors on our box truck and trailer wraps page. We measure the vehicle rather than trusting a generic template, because rivets, roll-up door tracks, ladder racks and toolboxes all change how a layout has to be built. If your vehicle is required to display a company name, USDOT number, or other commercial markings, we can include those items in the layout based on the information you provide.

Commercial fleet graphics

Fleet graphics that make vehicle nine match vehicle one

Fleet work is a different problem from a single wrap. The design has to survive being applied to three body styles, and the version you approve today has to still be reproducible when you add a van in eighteen months. We keep the artwork and the vehicle templates on file so a later addition matches the trucks already on the road.

Full detail is on our fleet wraps page. Volume pricing starts at roughly 10 percent off per van at five or more vehicles, and 15 to 20 percent at ten or more. We stage installs one or two vehicles at a time so you are never short more than a truck or two on any given day.

Lettering & decals

Vehicle lettering, door decals and markings

Cut vinyl lettering puts your name, phone number, service area and required markings on the doors for $350 to $900. It is the entry point for a lot of contractors, and it makes a van branded and identifiable without touching the rest of the paint.

Vinyl lettering and decals provide a more permanent and professional appearance than magnetic signs.

Trailer wraps

Enclosed trailers as mobile billboards

An enclosed trailer is the cheapest large format space a contractor already owns. It parks at curb height in front of the job for two days, it is flat, and it costs less per square foot to cover than the truck pulling it. Landscapers, remodelers and event crews get more out of the trailer than they expect, and the graphics move with the crew to the next neighborhood.

The honest ROI math

Do vehicle wraps actually pay for themselves?

A service van running normal Colorado Springs routes generates roughly 8,000 to 20,000 impressions per day. You will see 30,000 to 70,000 quoted around the industry. Those figures come from dense urban markets, and we would rather hand you a number you can defend to a partner or a lender than one that falls apart the first time somebody checks the math.

At approximately $2.74 per day over five years, a vehicle wrap can provide long term visibility without the recurring monthly cost of many other advertising options. Fleet graphics have been measured near $0.48 per thousand impressions in research published through the Outdoor Advertising Association of America and 3M, against roughly $3.56 for outdoor billboards, which is why the trucks you already own tend to be the cheapest media you can buy.

The break-even question is simpler than the impressions question. Work out what one average job is worth to you. For most contractors we work with, a wrap pays for itself somewhere between one and four extra jobs across five years, and everything after that is free advertising.

Impression ranges are planning estimates, not measured counts. Your actual numbers depend on route, mileage, parking and how much of the day the vehicle spends in traffic.

Vehicle wrap pricing
in Colorado Springs

Wrap pricing comes down to three things: how much of the vehicle gets covered, how complicated the body is to work around, and how many vehicles you are doing at once. Here is what the work usually costs here.

Full portfolio
Wrap type Best when Typical lead time Typical range
Full car or van wrap The vehicle is your main advertising and you want a color change 2-3 weeks $3,500-$6,500
Partial wrap Budget matters and the key panels can carry the message 2-3 weeks $1,500-$3,500
Box truck or trailer Large flat panels, highway miles, route deliveries 2-3 weeks $6,000-$12,000
Lettering & door decals Name, phone, service area and required commercial markings 1-2 weeks $350-$900
Fleet, 5 or more Same design repeated across the fleet, staged installs Scheduled around your routes About 10 percent off per van
Fleet, 10 or more Larger rollouts and multi-location brands Scheduled around your routes 15 to 20 percent off per van

Lead times run from the approved estimate and the deposit, not from the first phone call. The install itself is usually one to three days, and we schedule it around your work week.

These ranges are typical and are not project specific estimates. Coverage, vehicle condition, body complexity and design time all move the final number.

Which wrap does your vehicle need?

Most people call knowing they want the truck branded, not knowing how far to take it. Three questions settle it almost every time.

  1. How many miles does it run, and where does it park? A van on route all day earns a full wrap. A truck that sits at one job site for two days earns big, readable panels facing the street and not much else.
  2. What color is it now? If the paint is close to a brand color, a partial wrap uses it instead of covering it, and you keep the difference in your pocket.
  3. How long are you keeping the vehicle? Two more years of service life points to lettering or a partial wrap. Five or more justifies the full investment.

Send a photo of the vehicle and tell us the year, make and model. If lettering does the job, we will say so.

How long does a wrap last in Colorado?

Five to seven years on cast vinyl with hand washing, and longer if the vehicle is garaged. Colorado Springs sits at 6,035 feet, so the UV load here is stronger than it is at sea level and film ages faster than the national averages suggest. APG does not install economy calendered film on vehicles.

For work vans expected to stay branded for several years, APG recommends cast vinyl with laminate. Cast film conforms to curves and rivets and stays put through the freeze and thaw cycle that comes with every Colorado winter.

We install indoors in a heated bay. Vinyl applied in the cold does not conform and does not adhere correctly, which is the single most common reason a wrap starts lifting at the edges a year in.

Comparing estimates? Ask each provider to identify the film series and laminate included in the estimate. This makes it easier to compare materials, expected lifespan, and overall value.

Will a wrap hurt my paint?

A professionally installed wrap generally does not damage sound factory paint and can help protect it from UV exposure and normal road wear.

However, repainted panels, failing clear coat, rust, and existing paint damage may be affected during installation or removal. We inspect the vehicle and discuss any concerns before production.

Fleet rollouts and national account work

National brands hand a franchisee a brand standard and a deadline, and somebody local has to hit both. We work from supplied brand files and shop drawings, hold color across every unit, and stage the rollout so the fleet keeps working.

We handle the building side too, so a business opening in Colorado Springs is not coordinating a commercial sign company and a vehicle wrap company separately.

Removal, repairs and rebrands

Wraps are panel based, so a scraped door or a hail-damaged quarter usually means replacing one section rather than redoing the vehicle. APG handles repairs and panel replacements on wraps we produced.

Rebranding a fleet works the same way. Because we keep your artwork and vehicle templates on file, updating a logo or a phone number across ten vans is a production run, not a redesign.

Need the building to match the trucks?

Our sign team designs, permits, produces and installs channel letters, storefront and building signs, dimensional lettering, lobby signs, ADA signs and wayfinding signs from the same brand files. See custom signs in Colorado Springs.

Vehicle wraps in Colorado Springs: common questions

How much does a vehicle wrap cost in Colorado Springs?

Full car and van wraps generally run $3,500 to $6,500. Partial wraps run $1,500 to $3,500, box trucks and trailers $6,000 to $12,000, and vehicle lettering with door decals $350 to $900. These ranges are typical and are not project specific estimates. Coverage, vehicle size, body complexity and design time set the final number.

How long does a vehicle wrap last in Colorado?

Five to seven years on cast vinyl with hand washing, and longer for a garaged vehicle. At 6,035 feet the UV load is stronger than at sea level, which is why we specify cast film with a laminate rather than economy calendered material.

How long does the whole process take?

Two to three weeks from the approved estimate and deposit through design, printing and scheduling. The install itself is usually one to three days, and fleet work is staged one or two vehicles at a time so your crews keep working.

Do I need a USDOT number on my truck?

It depends on the operation, the weight of the vehicle and whether you run outside Colorado, so check with the Colorado State Patrol Motor Carrier Safety Section or the FMCSA rather than assuming. If your vehicle is required to display a company name, USDOT number, or other commercial markings, we can include those items in the layout based on the information you provide.

Can a wrap be removed later?

Yes. Cast film is designed to come off with heat and time, which is why leased vehicles and resale plans are not a problem. Repainted panels, failing clear coat, rust and existing paint damage may be affected during removal, so we inspect the vehicle and discuss any concerns before production.

What we print and install on

Cast vinyl with an overlaminate for full and partial wraps, cut vinyl for lettering and door decals, perforated window film where you need to see out, and reflective film when night visibility matters. The same brand files also drive your signs and commercial printing, so the truck, the storefront and the business card stay on one color.
