Talk to a team that
understands the work.

APG is a Colorado Springs sign and wrap company that also handles printing, apparel, promotional products, branding and graphic design. One team takes a project from the first conversation through production, permitting where it is required, installation and the final walkthrough.

Inside a Colorado Springs sign and wrap company

Chris Tombaugh has worked in the industry since 2002, with experience across design, print, branding, vehicle graphics, and commercial signage. Today, the APG team handles projects through design, production, permitting when required, installation, and final review.

That structure is deliberate. Most of what goes wrong in this trade happens in the gaps between vendors: the designer who never asked how the file would be produced, the sign company that will not touch a permit, the printer who matched a color by eye. When one team owns the whole path, those gaps close.

Our experience includes work for Colorado businesses and national brands such as Nike, Wells Fargo, Redken, and Warner Bros. Most weeks, though, the work is a contractor's van, a dental office lobby, or a storefront on Academy.

Everything we handle,
and where each one starts

Five services, one set of brand files. Most customers arrive needing one and end up using three, which is the point of keeping them under one team.

How we operate

Four things we do differently, and say out loud.

We publish real ranges

Sign and wrap pricing is on the service pages, in bands, with the caveat that these ranges are typical and are not project specific estimates. Where we have no honest range to publish, we say that instead of inventing one.

Design starts after the deposit

Once the estimate is approved and the deposit is received, our team will begin the design and proofing process. Speculative work is how a trade trains customers to treat design as free, and it is not how we run.

We install what we produce

APG primarily installs signage produced as part of our own projects, because the installation falls under our permit. Exceptions may be considered for established national brands when complete shop drawings and specifications are provided.

We keep your files

Artwork, vehicle templates and embroidery stitch files stay on record. Adding a van in eighteen months, reordering cards for a new hire, or replacing a damaged panel is an edit rather than a rebuild.

What we are building

The goal is a company that does not depend on any one person to work properly. Documented standards, files kept on record, a team that can quote, produce and install without waiting on a single point of approval, and pricing that a customer can check against what actually gets billed.

That is why the pages on this site read the way they do. Ranges instead of "call for pricing." Plain answers about the structures we do not build, and about signs we did not produce.

A customer should be able to work out whether we are the right company before calling.

The team

Projects run through the same roles regardless of size: an estimator who scopes the work and writes the number, designers who build artwork for the substrate it is going on, production staff who print, cut, fabricate and decorate, and installers who put it on the building or the vehicle.

Permitting and landlord submissions are handled in house rather than pushed back to the customer, which is usually the part people are dreading when they call.

Chris Tombaugh, Founder, reviews project work and pricing. Day to day, the APG team owns the project from estimate through final review.

About APG: common questions

What does APG actually do?

APG: Advanced Printing and Graphics provides vehicle wraps, commercial signage, printing, apparel, promotional products, branding, and graphic design. The practical version is that one team handles the design, the production, the permitting where it is required, the installation and the final review, so a business does not have to coordinate four vendors who each blame the other three.

How long has APG been doing this?

APG is backed by industry experience dating to 2002 and has completed more than 3,000 projects and 1,000 installations. Chris Tombaugh has worked in the industry since 2002, with experience across design, print, branding, vehicle graphics, and commercial signage. Today, the APG team handles projects through design, production, permitting when required, installation, and final review.

Can I visit the office?

Yes, by appointment. Our office is at 955 Garden of the Gods Rd, Suite A, Colorado Springs, CO 80907, open Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:00, by appointment only. Most projects start with photos and measurements sent over rather than a visit, and for signage we usually come to your building instead.

Do you work with national brands?

Yes. Our experience includes work for Colorado businesses and national brands such as Nike, Wells Fargo, Redken, and Warner Bros. For franchisees and national accounts, that usually means working inside a supplied brand book and shop drawings and holding the standard across every piece produced locally.

What areas does APG serve?

Colorado Springs and El Paso County, including Falcon, Fountain, Manitou Springs, Security-Widefield, Woodland Park and the Tri-Lakes area. Design and print work happens remotely as easily as in person. Signage and vehicle work brings us to your building or your vehicle.
